Proud Moments in Paris!

The UNESCO Chair in Water Conflict Management is proud to be represented at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris by two remarkable members of our Chair community.

Prof. András Szöllősi-Nagy, Chairholder, took part in the Water Family Panel: IHP 50-Year Strategic Vision, where he spoke about the pressing global water challenges we are facing — from the increasing frequency and intensity of floods to the major drivers reshaping water availability worldwide. In his contribution, he called on the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) to adapt and evolve to meet the demands of a changing future.

Lisa Oppermann, our student and a representative of the European Youth Parliament for Water, is attending the UNESCO Water Youth Dialogue, which brings together young water leaders from across the globe. The event aims to amplify youth voices in the water sector and create a platform for meaningful exchange and collaboration.
