Three education fairs across two countries, attracting more than 2,200 visitors in total. In October, Ludovika University of Public Service presented its English-taught programmes to prospective students in Azerbaijan and Georgia, a region where interest in studying in Hungary is already well established. The recruitment tour extended beyond the exhibition halls, with visits to local schools, meetings with educational partners and opportunities to reconnect with former students.
Hundreds of prospective students visited the Ludovika stands, speaking directly with members of the University’s International Office about available programmes, admission requirements and student life in Budapest.
The tour began at the Study in Europe Education Fair in Baku, organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan. The event brought together more than 50 European universities, with Ludovika also delivering a presentation on its academic programmes. Hungary’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan visited the Ludovika stand, while a subsequent meeting with Hungarian diplomats at the Embassy focused on student recruitment in the region.
Ludovika also participated in the Begin Group education fairs in Baku and Tbilisi as part of the Hungarian higher education delegation coordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation. Visits to secondary schools in both countries also allowed students and school counsellors to learn more about studying at Ludovika.
As part of the tour, representatives of the International Office met with two of Ludovika’s key institutional partners: ADA University in Baku and the LEPL – David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia in Gori. These meetings provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional relations, review ongoing cooperation and discuss further opportunities for academic cooperation, student and staff mobility. The programme also included discussions with Admitt LLC and Landau Education Group in Azerbaijan on potential cooperation to support the University’s international student recruitment efforts.
Study in Hungary alumni gatherings in both capitals provided opportunities to reconnect with former Ludovika students and maintain ties with the University's international community.
Following the tour, Ludovika will maintain contact with prospective applicants and follow up on discussions with institutional partners and recruitment agencies, with the aim of welcoming more and more students from Azerbaijan and Georgia in its English-taught programmes.
