The Master Network Meeting is an international professional networking event that brings together educators, researchers, and alumni from partner institutions to promote knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and joint innovation. The aim of the event is to strengthen relationships, exchange best practices, and coordinate future professional projects and research directions.
Budapest hosted this year's meeting on November 26-27, 2025, which was organized by the Faculty of Law Enforcement at the Ludovika University of Public Service (LUPS). The two-day event was attended by delegations of lecturers from the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, the Police Academy of the Netherlands, and the Norwegian Police University College, as well as lecturers from the Faculty of Law Enforcement, the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies, and the Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training of the LUPS.
The meeting focused on current issues in law enforcement training and the latest results of related university research. During the presentations, participants not only shared their institutional experiences, but also presented a number of research conclusions and methodological innovations that could be further developed jointly. Particular emphasis was placed on digital transformation, AI applications in policing and education, and comparative analyses of police training models for Generation Z.
The event proved to be extremely successful: the two days were filled with intense professional discourse, genuine networking, and forward-looking strategic discussions. The meeting focused on current issues in law enforcement training and the latest results of related university research. Participants came up with a wealth of new ideas for joint courses, research projects, and publication collaborations, while also sharing the initial results of several ongoing international research projects. Relations between the delegations were further strengthened, and the partners unanimously confirmed that such meetings play an irreplaceable role in the cross-border dissemination of scientific and training innovations.
The 2025 Master Network Meeting proved once again that the sharing of experience and knowledge between European law enforcement higher education institutions can open up new professional horizons, with Budapest providing an excellent venue and intellectual environment for this.
