From June 2 to 5, 2025, the Ludovika University of Public Service hosted 14 MA students specializing in clinical psychology from the Institute of Applied Psychology at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. The students' visit took place within the framework of the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS) course titled Law Enforcement, Security and Psychology, aimed at promoting international mobility and professional development. The LEPSY CEEPUS network continues to play a key role in strengthening international relations and fostering Central European cooperation. The LEPSY Special Course was not only about expanding academic knowledge but also about deepening international collaboration.
Through a series of lectures, the students explored the connections between psychopathy and criminal behavior. During practical workshops, they completed psychodiagnostic tasks that will contribute to their everyday clinical practice. Captain Gábor Bélai provided a brief introduction to the techniques of crime scene documentation and analysis. The students also visited the criminal tactics house. Additionally, Captain Dr. Judit Kovács, head of the Accident Prevention and Regulatory Group of the Traffic Police Department of the Pest County Police Headquarters, delivered a lecture. As part of a guided walk, the students were also introduced to key aspects of Budapest’s state security history.
Based on the positive feedback from the participants and the recognition of the lecturers, the course proved to be a great success. We hope to organize similar events in the future that will continue to enrich students' knowledge and experience.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all participants, lecturers, the Scientific Council of the Police, and the Pest County Police Headquarters for making the course possible and contributing to its success.
