The Department of Counter-Terrorism hosted an Extraordinary Department Meeting within the framework of Ludovika Scholars Program

Dr. Ilin Savov (PhD), professor of the Bulgarian Academy of the Ministry of Interior led a workshop in the framework of the Ludovika Scholars Program, organized by the Department of Counter-Terrorism on 26 October 2022. Professor Savov is a recognized expert of the fight against organized crime and the covert activities needed to tackle organized crime groups on national and on international level las well. He has a specialized expertise in the field of covert intelligence, which he has gained during his two decades-long work as an intelligence officer in Bulgaria.

Professor Savov regularly delivers lectures for the members of the intelligence community on international level, sharing his practical experience on topics like criminal investigation, cybercrime, online frauds, money laundering, corruption, as well as on data retention in connection with combating organized crime and terrorism.

The little, but enthusiastic audience first listened to the dynamic public lecture full with valuable professional knowledge delivered by Professor Savov in English at the Extraordinary Counter -Terrorism Department Meeting, then they had the opportunity to ask questions to the presenter, which he was keen to answer.

The Department of Counter-Terrorism plans to organize valuable professional events like that in the future as well, which are open to every interested colleague.
