Rector's meeting with the Czech Ambassador in Budapest

Rector Dr. Gergely Deli met the Czech Ambassador H.E. Tibor Bial on July 11, 2022.

The most important goal of the meeting was to review the already existing and diverse Czech relations of the University of Public Service, to further develop it after COVID, and to discuss specific cooperation possibilities during the current Czech EU presidency.

The Rector introduced the new Ludovika Scholars, a one-week program of guest lecturers, researchers, and experts starting in the fall of 2022, for which we hope that as many Czech applicants as possible will apply. The Ambassador explained that in order to strengthen the Central European identity, he considers direct relations and shared experiences of future generations extremely important, and therefore hopes that this new initiative will also contribute to this. The embassy will contribute to the promotion of Ludovika Scholars.

The Rector invited the Ambassador to hold the next lecture of the Ambassadors' Forum due in the fall (September 14, 2022). Ambassador Tibor Bial confirmed that he would gladly accept this invitation.

At the meeting, the Ambassador informed about the priorities of the Czech presidency of the EU and they agreed to organize a joint conference in the field of defence policy and cyber security based on one of the presidency objectives.
