The rector of the South African University of the Free State visited the National University of Public Service on 31 August 2018. The two universities have a long standing historical relation thanks to the Institute of Disaster Management and during this meeting the head of institutions discussed the possibility of further cooperation and student exchange programs.
The UFS registers today 40000 students. The university, located in the Free State province of South Africa, has three main campuses, one near the city center and two other satellite campuses.
Mr. Francis William Petersen, rector of UFS expressed his hope that, based on the previous good common experiences, the University of the Free State would become a key partner for the National University of Public Service in extending its international relations in Africa.
