Change of Pace in the Russian Inter-University Relations

Professor Dr. András Patyi the rector of National University of Public Service and Professor Dr. Norbert Kis dean of the Faculty of Science of Public Governance and Administration participated on a two-day-long meeting session in Moscow with the purpose of developing further our already existing inter-university relations with the Russian Universities. The leaders of the NUPS travelled to the Russian Capital City upon the invitation of the rectors of the Lomonosov Russian State University and the MGIMO University (Institute of International Relations). Based on the mutually signed Memorandum of Understandings an intensive educational and research cooperation is already going on for more than two years between these Russian institutions and our university. During the past two years nearly fifty professors and students of the NUPS and Russian professors, researchers and students participated in the reciprocally organized programs. Along their stay the rector of the NUPS held a presentation in the panel session of a conference organized about the strategic questions of Russia and Europe. In the meanwhile the Dean of the Faculty of Science of Public Governance and Administration was the leading contributor to the researchers’ roundtable discussions on the conference. At the meeting of Prof. A. Torkunov, rector of the MGIMO with the rector of the NUPS the two leaders confirmed that they consider each other as a strategic partner on the field of education in international and diplomacy studies and decided about the preparation of a joint degree curriculum as aim of development in their long-term cooperation.
