Dear Visitor!

We are delighted that you are visiting our department’s website!

The Department of Infocommunication and Information Security, formerly known as the Department of Signals, has played a significant role for decades—and continues to do so today—in the training of signals officers and in the teaching of cutting-edge professional knowledge in the field of information and communication technology. The department proudly carries on the more than 75-year tradition of training signal officers, as well as the legacy of innovations in civilian telecommunications.

Our department boasts modern classrooms and specialized educational facilities, all of which are equipped with advanced infocommunication technology and a comprehensive IT training center. These resources enable our students to access core course materials and acquire the knowledge necessary for their academic and research activities, fostering an environment that is optimal for both learning and innovation.

Graduates of the military infocommunication field of study serve in units of the Hungarian Defense Forces, typically in positions such as unit commander or staff officer. These professionals are responsible for organizing and designing complex infocommunication systems, ensuring that they meet the challenges of the modern era as well as the operational needs of the military. In addition, military infocommunication graduates work closely with specialized technical personnel to oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of complex infocommunication networks. This collaboration is vital to ensuring that the networks remain reliable and efficient, enabling soldiers to communicate seamlessly and carry out missions effectively. By ensuring the uninterrupted operation of these systems, they play a decisive role in enhancing the overall operational capabilities of the Hungarian Defense Forces.

We are proud of our achievements, which also require us to provide our students with the most up-to-date knowledge possible. I hope you find the information you came to our website to find. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us using the contact information provided.
