INTRODUCTION

The Department of Institutional Developments plays a key role in strengthening and expanding the professional and institutional network of the Faculty of Law Enforcement. Through its coordinating and strategic activities, the Faculty has established an extensive and diverse partnership network, including market/business actors, academic, governmental, and social responsibility stakeholders.

The Department is responsible for building new partnerships as well as maintaining and enhancing existing collaborations, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Faculty’s strategic objectives and its long-term development.

 

MAIN AREAS OF ACTIVITY

The Department’s core professional areas include project activities, research, development and innovation, cooperation and partnership development, budget planning and financial monitoring, event management, and alumni relations. These interconnected areas collectively ensure the effective operation and continuous development of the Faculty’s professional framework.

 

Project-related activities

Within the framework of project activities, the Department:

  • Performs comprehensive project management tasks in accordance with applicable internal regulations.
  • Prepares and documents project proposals independently or upon request of other organisational units of the University, ensuring high quality and well structured submissions.
  • Provides continuous professional support to central university units, faculty departments, and academic staff throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Actively contributes to the development of professional concepts and detailed project budgets, aligning them with strategic priorities and funding requirements.
  • Supports the implementation of ongoing projects financed from both internal and external sources, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.
  • Ensures that projects are implemented at a high professional standard in compliance with relevant funding regulations and administrative requirements.

 

Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+I)

In the field of R+D+I, the Department:

  • Promotes and facilitates cooperation with public and private security stakeholders, as well as governmental, civil, and business partners, fostering a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Supports the development and implementation of research, development, and innovation programmes that align with the institutional needs.
  • Contributes to the establishment of business-oriented cooperation agreements in the field of law enforcement, strengthening the practical relevance of academic activities.
  • Organises and coordinates a wide range of research and development activities, ensuring professional quality and effective collaboration among participants.

 

Cooperation Activities

In relation to cooperation and partnerships, the Department:

  • Provides professional representation of both the University and the Faculty of Law Enforcement at both national and international levels.
  • Systematically strengthens and expands relationships with market and institutional partners in order to enhance the Faculty’s visibility and impact.

 

Event Management

In the field of event organisation, the Department:

  • Organises and delivers a wide range of professional events independently as well as in cooperation with partners, ensuring high organisational standards.
  • Coordinates events related to law enforcement research, development, and innovation, contributing to knowledge exchange and professional dialogue.
