Stipendium Hungaricum Hungarian Excellence Award 2025

 

Award Nomination Criteria:

1. Program Consistency:
The student must not have switched from a Hungarian-language program to an English-language program during the academic year or by the nomination deadline (including autumn 2025).

2. Academic Excellence:
The student’s cumulative adjusted credit index must exceed the average of their academic program for that year.

3. Ambassadorship:
Preference will be given to students willing to serve as “Hungarian Language Ambassadors” and participate in occasional promotional activities organized by the Tempus Public Foundation (e.g., creating video messages about the Hungarian language and culture).

4. Motivation Letter:
The nominee must submit a motivation letter aligned with the award category and program expectations, highlighting relevant experiences with the Hungarian language. The letter must be submitted to TKA by the student’s institution.

5. Recommendation:
A supporting recommendation is required from the student’s supervisor or an instructor familiar with their work.

6. Achievements:
Participation in national or international academic competitions or publications is valued.

7. Community Engagement:
Active involvement in community-building activities related to SH/DFP programs, participation in the HÖOK Mentoring Network, and engagement in university representation or student organizations (e.g., ESN) is expected.

 

Award Benefits:

Winners in all award categories will receive a one-time increased scholarship equivalent to one month’s stipend (HUF 140,000).
