Stipendium Hungaricum Student Excellence Award 2026

Eligibility:

  • Full-time students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or one-tier master’s degree programs with two active semesters in the academic year of 2025/2026
  • Excludes language preparatory courses, partial studies, postgraduate specialist training, doctoral programs, and first-year scholarship holders.

Academic Performance:

  • Must rank in the top 10% of their program based on the cumulative adjusted credit index.
  • Must exceed the program’s average credit index for the academic year.

Commitment to Promotion:

  • Willingness to support and participate in promotional activities related to the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme.

Application Materials:

  • Submission of a motivation letter tailored to the award category and program expectations.
  • A recommendation letter from a supervisor or instructor.

Achievements and Community Involvement:

  • Participation in national or international academic competitions or publications,
  • Engagement in community-building activities related to the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme (e.g., pre-alumni initiatives),
  • Participation in the HÖOK Mentoring Network, and
  • Involvement in student representation or organizations (e.g., ESN) are all valued.
  • These contributions can be evaluated based on their impact level.

Award Benefits:

  • Winners will receive a one-time increased scholarship equivalent to one month’s stipend (HUF 140,000).
