Ludovika Fellowship Program – Call for Applications
The Ludovika University of Public Service (LUPS), Budapest, welcomes applications from academics, lecturers, researchers, and other members of the academic community for academic and research engagements in the 2027 calendar year. The Ludovika Fellowship Program (LFP) is an initiative created to host internationally recognized foreign academics at the Ludovika University of Public Service (LUPS) for periods of one to three months. Selected fellows will conduct research in their respective fields, deliver BA, MA, or PhD-level lectures in English, collaborate with faculty members’ research or teaching, and contribute to expand LUPS international academic network.

The successful applicants shall:
- dedicate his/her full time to the program during his fellowship;
- deliver at least 2 lectures/week;
- participate in other academic including research and extracurricular activities;
- provide a monthly progress report (including a short abstract) and a final narrative report/scientific paper.
- be responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their health insurance, accommodation, and daily living expenses. (Subject to availability, the Fellow may use accommodation at the Campus dormitory for a fee.)
Successful applicants are entitled to:
- receive a gross agency fee of EUR 3,500 or 4,500 per month, depending on their academic seniority;
- receive a one-time international round-trip travel allowance between the recipient’s place of residence and Budapest;
- have access to University services free of charge (libraries, databases).
Eligibility Criteria and Application Requirements:
· preparation of a preliminary Academic Project Proposal aligned with the University’s strategy and objectives, demonstrating the applicant’s own ideas and plans regarding the above-mentioned activities;
- full professional proficiency in English;
- outstanding, internationally recognized academic achievements and activities in a scientific field relevant to the University’s educational and research strategy;
- active engagement in teaching and educational management;
- membership in international academic and professional organizations.

- Completed Application form;
- Professional CV with list of publications;
- Project Proposal for the planned Ludovika Fellow activities;
- A Letter of Reference for those with less than six years of full time academic position.
Term of the Fellowship under the Current Call for Applications
1-3 months between the 1st of February 2027 and 15th of December 2027.
