UCW BlueBridge launches the new academic year

The UNESCO Chair in Water Conflict Management (UCW) held its first student meeting of the 2026/27 academic year, welcoming new first-year students and outlining the Chair’s plans for the months ahead. The meeting also marked the launch of UCW BlueBridge, our student platform connecting generations and bringing young perspectives into water diplomacy, research and conflict prevention.
With climate change, increasing water demand and prolonged hydrological extremes raising the risk of water-related tensions, the Chair has developed an Action Plan for 2026–2028. It focuses on research and risk assessment, early warning, water diplomacy, communication, capacity building and policy support, with students actively involved in its implementation.
