Ludovika Digital Education

It is a central collection page where the main educational systems of LUPS (Neptun, Moodle, Ludovika e-learning, MOOC, NKE Webinar), electronic resources (Public Service Knowledge Portal, online learning materials and notes, online databases and journals, library catalogues), as well as aids and error reporting are available in one place.

Moodle

Moodle is the platform supporting e-learning at LUPS. The courses are displayed based on the data taken over by the Neptun system, in a corresponding structure (by faculty/department), and the assignment of students to the courses is also adjusted to this.
As a student, you can typically manage and track the following in Moodle:

Dashboard and course overview: after logging in, the dashboard (home page) is displayed, where the course overview is the central element, from where notifications and messages are also available;

Access courses: the "my courses" menu will show the courses that the lecturer has made visible to students;

Course materials and activities on the course page: in courses, learning materials and assignments are uniformly located on the course page, in some cases depending on the settings that can be tracked to complete/view activities;

Submissions: the assignment module is used for submitting assignments, with time settings to control when it is available and when it can be submitted, and you can receive a notification about the assessment;

Forum: the interface of messages and information, attachments can be managed, and if you subscribe, the forum messages will also be sent by e-mail;

Chat: used for real-time conversations, it can be one-time or repetitive, it can be saved and made available for viewing later;

Messages and notifications: the messaging interface is accessible with one click, the messages are displayed organized by listener or group, and in the case of notifications, you can set which events and through which channel you should receive notifications.

MS Teams / Office 365 (online lessons, consultation, group work)

Teams is a typical interface for online classes/consultations and course-related collaboration (chat, file sharing, group work). Students can also use it in connection with the Office 365 subscription of LUPS, as well as all the other programs included in the Office 365 package.

Public Service Knowledge Portal

The Public Service Knowledge Portal is a database of digital documents created at LUPS, related to training and research, as well as related to the history of the University and its predecessor institutions. Its purpose is to collect, preserve and present documents in a systematic manner.
Simple and complex searches and browsing by collections are available on the interface. Featured collections: Ludovika Collection, Magyary Archive, Public Service Online Encyclopedia.

Online learning materials and notes

Online databases

The collection site of online databases and electronic literature sources available at the Library. The subscribed databases can be accessed from LUPS computers (e.g. office computers, library reader computers) and remotely for university citizens (e.g. from the dormitory or from home). Remote access is typically possible with eduID or a VPN service operated by the IT Directorate.

Remote use (eduID): after selecting "National / Ludovika University of Public Service" on the database interface, a university ID is required.

Students: username = Neptune code (all uppercase); password = the password used for Moodle login / university wifi.

University Library Catalogues

The catalogues of the Library and related access are used for searching and orienting the library stock.
