Brain Pool

The Brain Pool and Brain Pool Plus programmes aim to attract top foreign researchers to Korean research institutions, facilitate joint research in scientific and technological fields, increase research and development (R&D) capacity, and promote innovative growth by providing essential technologies and supporting excellent human resources.

There are three phases for the submission of proposals, with the second phase running from 1 February to 28 April 2023 and the third from 29 April to 30 June 2023. Feedback from the host institution must be received by the deadline, after which the applicant must submit their research proposal.
The eligibility criteria, the necessary documentation, and the evaluation timetable are set out in the two annexes attached.
