The Department of Human Resources of the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies, hosted Professor Petros Pashiardis, an international leading expert in the field of management, former Rector of the Open University of Cyprus, as part of the Ludovika Fellowship Programme for a month from 22 of April.
In 2008, Professor Pashiardis visited the country for the first time in the context of a European-level LISA project on the relationship between educational leadership style and student achievement. On his recent visit, which coincided in part with the vibrant Ludovika Festival, he was very positive: "The Campus is a very pleasant and relaxing place to study and research. The Orczy Park surrounding the university buildings is fantastic.” The professor highlighted the competence and interests of the students and the openness and hospitality of the university citizens. "It was a pleasure to meet Professor Gyula Vastag and Associate Professor Péter Klotz. I particularly enjoyed meeting and having high quality discussions with Associate Professor Edit Kajtár and Professor Norbert Kis."
Professor Pashiardis gave inspiring lectures to masters and doctoral students in April. He also held extended discussions with two doctoral students (Enikő Szakos and Ehtiman Nuralizade). Then, at the May workshop for students of the Magyary Zoltán Advanced College, held jointly with Edit Kajtár, participants developed a creative methodology for the Entrepreneurial leadership model. Regarding future cooperation, the professor said that he sees potential for further joint actions, especially in the field of educational management and leadership, and would be happy to collaborate in joint supervisions for doctoral students.
