With the collaboration of six partner institutions, the Faculty of Law Enforcement (FLE) of the Ludovika University of Public Service (LUPS) organized its second research and cooperation conference on March 12 within the framework of the Law Enforcement – Psychology (LEPSY) Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies (CEEPUS) Network.
"Our university is one of the most important regional knowledge centers and Hungary’s leading higher education institution in public service, public administration, diplomacy, security, law enforcement science, water management, and soon teacher training," emphasized Pier Paolo Pigozzi, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs at LUPS, in his online welcome speech. In this spirit, he wished that the conference would provide valuable international exchanges and bring many insights to all participants.
"In today’s highly interesting presentations, we will hear various perspectives on numerous topics," said Gábor Kovács, Major General, university professor, and Dean of LUPS FLE, in his opening speech. He expressed gratitude to both domestic and international organizers and partners for bringing together so many excellent experts and presentations at the conference. He emphasized that "we form a family in this region, facing similar challenges and solutions, and the key to our success lies in collective thinking."
The opening session was moderated by Imre Dobák, associate professor and head of the Department of Civilian National Security at LUPS FLE. He announced that a scientific publication would soon be prepared based on the conference presentations. Throughout the day, researchers discussed current issues in their respective fields in six sections with nearly forty presentations.
