We further strengthened the university’s international relations. The Law Enforcement, Security and Psychology CEEPUS Network, established with the support of the Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies (CEEPUS) and the Tempus Public Foundation, is a comprehensive cooperation program that began on September 1, 2023. The latest event of the Network - the 2nd LEPSY CEEPUS Coordination Meeting - was held between January 27-28 of 2025. The participants included senior leaders and researchers with extensive professional experience from the North Macedonian Police Academy (Skopje), the Serbian Police Academy (Belgrade), the Bulgarian Police Academy, the Faculty of Law of the University of East Sarajevo, and Babeș-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca).
In the 2024/2025 academic year, the LEPSY CEEPUS Network doubled its quotas and, with the support of the TEMPUS Public Foundation, won two program applications (1 Coordination Meeting and 1 Summer University support), organizing significant events. On March 12, 2024, the 1st LEPSY Research and Cooperation Conference’ was held with 63 participants from 16 institutions and 7 countries. From May 27 to June 1, 2024, a LEPSY Summer Course was held with the participation of Serbian and Macedonian students. Several guest lecturers were welcomed, and Hungarian lecturers and students also had the opportunity to travel abroad to the Slovak Police Academy, the Security Faculty of the Macedonian St. Kliment Ohridski University, the Bulgarian Police Academy, and the Institute of Applied Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University.
The event was opened by Prof Dr Gábor Kovács, Dean of the Faculty of Law Enforcement followed by Dr Gábor Kemény, Vice Rector for Development, who presented the university’s institutional development strategy, and Dr. Márta Korpics, who reported on the results of the Creative Learning Project. During workshops, representatives of partner institutions reviewed the results of the past academic year and defined strategic and operational tasks related to future cooperation. On January 28, 2025, the participants made a study visit to the National Police Headquarters, supported by the Scientific Council of the Police. One of the main outcomes of the meeting was the initiation of negotiations regarding a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Law of the University of East Sarajevo.
