LUDOVIKA UNIVERSITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

LUPS visited the Higher Education Fair

In line with its commitment to internationalization, one of the university's key objectives is to significantly increase the number of self-financing foreign students and participants in the Stipendium Hungaricum program. Participation in higher education recruitment fairs is one of the strategies supporting this goal.

As part of its 2022-2025 institutional commitment to the Stipendium Hungaricum program, Ludovika - University of Public Service (LUPS) has pledged to participate in at least one international higher education recruitment fair each year. In this spirit, Annamária Kitta, Head of the International Office, and Panna Ványi, Head of the International Mobility Department, recently attended two recruitment fairs organized by the Begin Group.

Our university representatives introduced LUPS in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek. The LUPS booth provided a chance for personal discussions with prospective students, giving an overview of the university. More than 350 visitors expressed interest, and they will receive regular updates about the university and its programs through next spring.

In addition to student recruitment, the fairs offered excellent opportunities to establish new partnerships and deepen existing relationships. Notably, representatives of James Cook University (JCU), which offers programs in engineering, environmental engineering, and water management, were present. JCU operates four campuses in Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns, and Singapore, with discussions held at the Singapore campus. Our representatives also visited KIMEP University in Almaty to discuss renewing a previous Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement, facilitating student and faculty exchanges, and submitting a joint ICM application.

Established in 1999 and headquartered in Berlin, the Begin Group is a leading organizer of international student recruitment events and marketing services. With over 500 institutional clients, it provides customized solutions and hosts higher education fairs across seven regions on four continents, including Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan), Eurasia (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey), and Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore), as well as in India.
