In the framework of the Ludovika Scholars Program, Dr hab Agata Kosieradzka-Federczyk from the Centre for Ecology and Ecophilosophy, Institute of Law, Faculty of Christian Philosophy, Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University; former Head of the Department of Sustainable Development, Environmental Law and Economics visited the University of Public Service from 27 to 31 March. The Polish expert - together with the other Ludovika Scholars - was received by Dr Gergely Deli, Rector of the UPS, on Monday, and then held a detailed meeting with the lecturers of the Department of Water and Environmental Policy of the Faculty of Water Sciences, to outline future plans for cooperation between the two departments. She concluded the first day of her stay with a gala dinner, where the leaders of our University and the Ludovika Scholars winners had the opportunity to get to know each other in a more informal atmosphere.
She also had an extensive consultation meeting with the faculty researchers at the Baja Campus. This was followed by a workshop on „How the polluters pay principle applies in Poland?”. The visit to Baja was concluded by Dr. hab. Kosieradzka-Federczyk culminated in an interesting presentation on "Legal aspects of environmental remediation".
She gave a comprehensive overview of the role of water and environmental law in licensing procedures in Poland for the Students of the Master's programme in International Water Policy and Water Diplomacy. Her programme concluded with a meeting with the Institute for Sustainability.
