Dr Ilin Savov (PhD), professor of the Bulgarian Academy of the Ministry of Interior, delivered a public lecture on the fight against organized crime in the framework of the Ludovika Scholars Program at the UPS Educational Centre in classroom Nr. IV. on 27 October 2022. The visiting scholar, who has broad practical experience in the fight against organized crime, as well as in counter-terrorism, performed an extraordinary class for the full-time students and the academics of the Faculty of Law Enforcement, using spectacular pictures and videos regarding the topic. The exciting lecture contained a lot of useful advice for the investigators of the future, so the audience gained very valuable knowledge during the class. Dr Ilin Savov has proven his proficiency in the fight against the most dangerous form of criminality by replying to the questions of the spectators after the class as well. Dr. Bence Mészáros, police colonel, and vice-dean for international affairs of the Faculty of Law Enforcement, expressed his thanks to the visiting professor for his work at the Faculty of Law Enforcement (Dr. Ilin Savov led a workshop on counter-terrorism and had an online presentation on cross-border surveillance as well at the ‘1. Ludovika International Law Enforcement Symposium’ during his one-week stay at the university) after the lecture, and assured him, that he is welcome anytime at the university in the future in the framework of programs dedicated to international mobility.
