This year, about a hundred foreign students come to the University of Public Service within the framework of the Erasmus + mobility program and the Stipendium Hungaricum Program, most of them continue their studies at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies. The institution greeted them with the already traditional Welcome Day program.
“Normally it’s a fun event, but now we have to be careful to protect ourselves and each other as well,” emphasized Klára Breuer, International Director, at the opening of the international school year at the Ludovika Main Building. In her keynote speech, Boglárka Koller, Vice-Rector for International, also spoke about epidemiological measures, emphasizing the importance of security measures and maintaining trust between the University and students, which enable education to take place within a (relatively) normal framework. Although this semester will be much different from the previous ones, we still need to realize the opportunities that are before our eyes, she said at the event. Klára Breuer asked the students to see the world from a different angle and try to think in new strategies, new methods and tools. At the event, foreign students also gained a brief insight into the training system of the faculties of the institution, as well as the history of the NKE and the Ludovika Campus.
After the event students were welcome at a small picnic in the beautiful park of the Campus.
