LUDOVIKA UNIVERSITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

The visit of the Head of Mission of the Republic of Yemen in Budapest

Ambassador Ahmed Abdulla Nagi, Head of Mission of the Republic of Yemen in Budapest, visited the National University of Public Service, where Boglárka Koller, Vice-Rector for International Relations, received the diplomat. The meeting was also attended by Péter Krisztián Zachar, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies and Klára Breuer,  International Director of NUPS.

The Head of Mission said that he would be glad to see that Yemeni students get involved with faculties of NUPS to pursue university studies. In the past decades, many Yemeni students studied at Hungarian universities who later contributed to the development of Yemen with their knowledge and experience. He highlighted that there are two ambassadors of Yemen, who once studied in Budapest. Ambassador Nagi reiterated that the Yemeni authorities are also interested in specialized training; security policy, cybersecurity, and police training are important areas for them. During her presentation about the University, Boglárka Koller emphasized that the institution is open for new contacts, either through Erasmus Mundus or the Stipendium Hungaricum program. It was also suggested that NUPS would be glad to host Yemeni teachers and researchers, and the possibility of appearing at the Ludovika Ambassadors' Forum was also discussed.
