The National University of Public Service has commemorated the 354th anniversary of the death of Miklós Zrínyi (Nikola Zrinski).
The brilliant general and military theoretician died on the 18th of November 1664 near Zrínyifalva (modern day Kursenac, Coratia). He was an outstanding political and military leader of his time, who created lasting works in both the practical and theoretical fields of military science.
One of the legal predecessors of the National University of Public Service, the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University wore the name of Zrínyi proudly for many decades!
This legacy does not fade over time, and he is still remembered as a military scientist, soldier and a poet as well.
