LUDOVIKA UNIVERSITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

About

The newly established István Nemeskürty Faculty of Teacher Training (INFTT) – bearing the name of a prominent Hungarian literary scholar, film historian, and educator – has an important mission: we are committed to cultivating knowledgeable, compassionate and innovative educators, scholars and communicators who are adept at navigating the complexities of contemporary societies.

From September 2025, our new faculty will launch thirteen new courses in the areas of teacher training, the humanities, and social science. All our new curricula emphasise practice-oriented small-group instruction, and in our teacher training programmes, students will receive individual guidance and support from mentor teachers throughout their studies. In addition to conveying all the skills and knowledge required in their respective professions, we specifically aim to train future pedagogues and scholars capable of organising and maintaining real communities.

The faculty will not only function as an educational venue but will also be a methodological centre continuously and dynamically responding to the needs of public education and conducting academic research on innovations in teacher training, as well as in teaching practices in pre-school, elementary, and secondary school education. Concerning international relations, our top priority is to establish a widespread professional network with other teacher training institutions located in neighbouring countries and also on a wider scale in order to exchange innovative, sustainable practices for further development.
