The aim of the 7-semester course is to train environmental engineers with up-to-date scientific, ecological, technical, socio-economic and management skills who are able to identify environmental hazards in different areas and to manage damage control activities. Here again, the focus is on water, with a stress on mitigating global environmental problems, in particular the water crisis.

Integrated Water Management Specialization

The “Integrated Water Management” (IWM) specialization adopts a holistic approach to protect and sustainably utilize water resources in terms of both quantity and quality. The program considers social, economic, and environmental perspectives, promoting coordinated decision-making to prevent conflicts between sectors. The specialization focuses on ecosystem preservation, water supply and wastewater management, flood and drought protection, and fostering social participation and institutional cooperation. Students acquire skills to ensure the long-term, sustainable management of water resources amidst evolving environmental and societal demands.
