Lieutenant Colonel Ujházy started his military career as a conscript in 1983. Two years after having gained an MA in History and English at the Eötvös Loránd University he was recalled to active duty and trained as a reserve officer. He served in a number of reserve officer positions before becoming a regular officer. He has published several articles on military and security issues. Lieutenant Colonel Ujházy has served in two peace operations.
The mission of the Department of Military Leadership and General Subjects is to enhance the ability of students to perform effectively as principled leaders in their future leadership roles. To achieve this goal the department provides instruction at BSc, MSc and PhD levels on military leadership, military psychology, military pedagogy, political science, military anthropology and military sociology.
We emphasise the interaction between research and teaching. The department concentrates on publishing in academic journals as well as being able to communicate this in our teaching.
