Department of Criminal Intelligence, Economic and Cybercrime

The Department emerged in 1971, in the framework of the Police College, which was the predecessor of the Law Enforcement Faculty of the National University of Public Service. Although its official denomination has already changed several times throughout the previous years, neither its educational profile nor the trained subjects has essentially changed.   During the passed years, such subjects for specific purposes together with theoretical and practical knowledge were taught, which can be used by the students majored in Criminal investigation, Economy Protection, Cybercrime protection and Criminal intelligence specializations, in their everyday work. The Department participates both in the Bachelor, and in the Masters trainings as well. The teachers regularly keep tab the brand new challenges emerging in the diverse professional fields of law enforcement, by daily contact with the employees of the Police forces.  This practical knowledge is regularly embedded in the curriculum.
