Language Training at the Centre for Foreign and Specialised Languages
The Centre for Foreign and Specialised Languages provides comprehensive and structured training for students of the Faculty of Law Enforcement, the Institute of Disaster Management, and the Institute of Civil National Security at Ludovika University of Public Service. Our mission is to develop advanced foreign language and professional communication skills tailored to each field of study, providing the foundation for effective communication, international cooperation, and success in law enforcement and related careers.
Our modular training system allows students to progress step by step, from beginner to advanced levels, based on an initial language assessment. Courses are offered in English, German, Russian, and Chinese, creating a diverse and international learning environment.
Main Course Groups
- Law Enforcement – For undergraduate students of Criminal Administration, Law Enforcement Administration, and Corrections, covering topics from basic law enforcement concepts to complex professional communication. Concludes with a comprehensive examination.
- General Law Enforcement – For undergraduate students of Criminal Studies, Law Enforcement, and Financial Law Enforcement programs, with additional modules tailored to the program. Covers the foundations of law enforcement terminology through advanced professional communication. Concludes with a comprehensive examination.
- Security – For undergraduate students of Private Security, preparing students linguistically for the sector’s various fields. Concludes with a comprehensive examination.
- Disaster Management – For undergraduate students of Disaster Management, focusing on specialised terminology and communication skills. Concludes with a comprehensive examination.
- Civil National Security – For undergraduate students of Civil National Security, developing field-specific language proficiency and communication skills.
- Fire Protection – For undergraduate students of Fire Protection Engineering, providing specialised terminology and communication skills in fire safety.
- Law Enforcement for Graduate Studies – For Master’s students, expanding task-specific language skills and leadership communication competencies.
