Dear Students! Dear University Citizens!

In order to combat the coronavirus epidemic, it has become necessary to reintroduce certain restrictions at our University. Accordingly, with effect from 3 November 2021 (Wednesday), I am imposing the following:

1. The use of a protective mask covering the nose and mouth is mandatory in the enclosed spaces of university campuses. The lecturer (instructor or, in the case of an interactive course, the student giving the presentation) may refrain from wearing a mask during the lecture if there is at least 3 metres of distance from others and ventilation of the room is ensured.

2. In the interests of epidemiological prevention, it is still recommended to maintain a safety distance of at least one and a half metres during personal contact. Direct contact with others (e.g. shaking hands) should be avoided.

3. In the area of catering units (buffet, canteen) a safety distance of at least one and a half metres has to be maintained. Masks may be removed only during the meal.

4. On the campuses the University imposes a limitation on the number of persons in the elevators..

5. Meetings, discussions and University sessions may be held in the form of face-to-face meetings, but it is recommended that they be organised online.

6. When entering the University buildings, before meals, and after sneezing or coughing, a thorough hand washing or using  hand sanitizer is mandatory.

7. Regular, thorough ventilation is compulsory in enclosed areas of the University where possible.

8. The University will continue to ensure that toilets, door handles and handrails are regularly disinfected and properly cleaned.

9. In the event of suspected coronavirus infection, everyone should stay at home and consult their doctor. All University Citizens are obliged to report their exposure to the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and its cessation on under the menu "report" or "close report".

Holding University events with personal attendance will be maintained, relevant security arrangements will be provided later.

I would like to inform you that the University Epidemic Steering Group will continue to meet regularly and monitor the epidemiological situation. Please continue to follow our epidemiological briefings. Please follow the above epidemiological guidelines and recommendations and continue to look after each other and your own health.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
