LUDOVIKA UNIVERSITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

State Secretary Péter Sztáray at the Foreign Affairs Club of Ludovika

The situation of Russia's geopolitics was discussed at the first event of Foreign Affairs Club of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy.

The Foreign Affairs Club gives a good opportunity for the participants of the Diplomatic Training Program to leave the classrooms, and in a more informal setting think together on current foreign policy and foreign economic issues and exchange ideas with outstanding public figures and experts. On the first occasion of the series, Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, György Ilyash, researcher at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and András György Deák, researcher at the Strategic Defence Research Institute of Ludovika shared their thoughts. The discussion, moderated by Balázs Mártonffy, a lecturer at Ludovika, focused on the situation in Belarus, the effectiveness of economic sanctions against Russia and the possibility of Russian intervention in the US presidential election.
