LUDOVIKA UNIVERSITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

Student guests from Toronto University

Cooperation between the University of Toronto and the National University of Public Service (NUPS) has become closer and closer thanks to the former contact initiative of the International Directorate from September 2019.  The international management takes a special emphasis on overseas relations as they may foster the future professional development not only of our professors but also of our students.

Founded in 1827, the University of Toronto has evolved into Canada’s leading institution of learning, deiscoversy and knowledge creation. The University of Toronto has international students from 157 countries and regions. Throughout the former meetings with the NUPS’ representatives it turned out that the Canadian institution has been open to every kind of professionally well-founded and future orientated cooperation.

The International Directorate had the pleasure to greet students of the University of Toronto at Ludovika Campus in the beginning of December 2019. The NUPS international staff gave its best to organize colourful professional yet historical programs for the guests. Within this framework, the Canadian students had the opportunity to participate at International Vice-Rector Dr. Boglárka Koller’s class ’European theory and political History’ with the Hungarian fellow-students as well as to put their questions about the changing of the communist regime in 1989/1990 in Central and Eastern Europe at a workshop with research Miklós Mitrovics. On behalf of the Internation. In order to share the most possible of Hungarian history and culture, the Canadian students had the chance to visit the beautiful building of the Parliament as weel as the Hungarian National Gallery.

At the end of their stay at NUPS Canadian students expressed their appreciation of the programs that they attended as well as of the Hungarian hospitality.
