1.       Introduction to the Department

 

The Department of International and European Law Enforcement is one of the new departments of the Faculty of Law Enforcement as it started its operation in 2018. The Department provides the teaching tasks of the subjects and the educational organisation tasks related to the field of international law enforcement, international and EU law enforcement, and law enforcement cooperation at the faculties of the NUPS. The personnel of the Department conducts researches in the disciplines related to the profile of the Department, in addition to the knowledge and the comparative scientific researches of the law enforcement agencies of other countries, they also develop the curricula related to the subjects. One of the main tasks of the Department is to extend the international professional and scientific relations of the NUPS in the field of law enforcement, the further development of the existing relations (e.g. CEPOL) and the representation of the NUPS in international forums.

 

 

2.       Description of the Head of the organisational unit:

The Head of the Department is Judit Nagy Dr. Police Colonel, Associate Professor. The Head of the Department joined to the personnel of the Budapest Police Headquarters in 1996, and she started her teaching career in the predecessor of the NUPS, in the Police College in 2002.  At present, she belongs to the personnel of the National Police Headquarters. Her research field is the international and EU law enforcement cooperation.
