The training started on the 10th of March in Vienna where officer candidates completed tasks related to the logistics of a peace support operation. The recognition of the training’s quality is displayed by the fact that the Austrian opening was conducted with the participation of several high ranking representatives from the field of logistics, including BG Karl Pronhagl, BG Robert Brieger, BG Kurt Wagner and BG Dieter Jocham. Hungary and NUPS was represented by Col. Dr. Gábor Boldizsár Dean of the Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training.

The second phase of the training was hosted by the National University of Public Service. The exercise, focusing on logistics reconnaissance initiated on the 13th of March, has revealed wide-ranging Hungarian co-operation, as it enjoyed the joint support of the Pest County Defence Committee, several local governments, the Budapest Intermodal Logistics Centre and the Hungarian Defence Forces Joint Forces Command. The training’s following phase is in Brno (Czech Republic) where officer candidates can complete new tasks related to logistics yet in different roles.

The exercises completed in Hungary were evaluated by Col. Dr. Gábor Boldizsár. During the Hungarian and Austrian phases the officer candidates of NUPS have displayed their theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of logistics. The training conducted through the activities of multinational working groups has also provided a great opportunity to prove that the students of NUPS can fulfil their respective duties within an international environment using English as working language.
