On the 19th of January 2015, National University of Public Service organised the Farwell Ceremony for students completed the very first Academy of Diplomacy Budapest research and training program.
The Academy of Diplomacy Budapest is a single semester study and research-based certificate program, concluded with a Certificate and Transcript of Records with two optional specialisations, thus Security and Defense Studies specialisation and European Studies specialisation. This first Academy of Diplomacy Budapest program was an important milestone in the process of making the University more international and a key first step toward further international academic development. In order to ensure equal access, the University established the Good Governance Scholarship program to financially support students from less developed countries and to give them the chance to participate in this excellent program.
In the fall semester of the academic year 2014/15 12 students and public service professionals from countries within the international strategic priorities of the University took part in ADB program and were supported by the University’s Good Governance grant. Additionally, three more doctoral students with Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship joined to the program. All together 15 students have been awarded on the Ceremony, three of them with excellence qualification. Students from all over the world, from Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Palestine, Macedonia, Romania ensured the national diversity of the program and made Academy of Diplomacy Budapest courses one of the best in the field of Education and Practice in Hungary.
