Members of the War Colleges from the Republic of Turkey visited the Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training at the National University of Public Service (NUPS) on the 20th of May 2014. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. (Col.) László Kovács, Vice-dean for Science and International Affairs at the Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training and Col. Péter Balogh, Commanding Officer of the 23rd General Staff Course.
The delegation’s visit began with a set of presentations held in the new Ludovika Campus building of NUPS during which the guests received insight into the education and training system and achievements of the Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training and the General Staff Course.
After the overview, the delegation went through the main building of the Ludovika Campus. The Turkish officers, who hold traditions in high regard, had the unanimous opinion that the National University of Public Service is in an extremely fortunate situation to locate itself in building that not only follows traditions but is modern as well.
The discussions of the meeting has already proved to be fruitful, as the Turkish delegation invited lecturers and students of the Faculty of Military Sciences and Officer Training to an international conference in Istanbul in spring of 2015, and proposed cooperation regarding the joint editorial work of scientific publications.
