Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Pakistani Higher Education Committee, and Waheed Ahmed Mangi, Deputy Director of the Committee visited Ludovika Campus on 22 April, 2016. They have been accompanied by Azeem Khan, first secretary of the Embassy of Pakistan.
On behalf of the University Dr. Norbert Kiss, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education and International Affairs and Erzsébet Veres, deputy-head of the International Relations Office greeted the delegation with Gábor Csizmazia on behalf of the Faculty of International and European Studies. After the introductions Mr. Vice-Rector presented the history of the university, its organizational structure and the possibilities and requirements for international students.
Members of the Committee had visited 18 countries among Hungary in the last few months, looking for educational possibilities for Pakistani students. Based on the report of Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, in the future Pakistan would like to pay special attention to provide opportunities for their MA and PhD students to study abroad. In the frame of Stipendium Hungaricum Programe there are opportunities for the pakistani students to apply to the relevant trainings of National University of Public Service. The delegation was interested mostly in our security- and defence policy, disaster management, and public administration programmes, both part and full time. Referring to the topic Gábor Csizmazia briefly presented the security- and defence policy specialization of our institution.
