LUDOVIKA UNIVERSITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

Visegrad Fund - scholarship schemes

Organised by the Ludovika University of Public Service, the event presented Petr Mareš, Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund, and Éva Merenics, project coordinator, who introduced the scholarship and grant opportunities for students and researchers under the Visegrad Fund's mobility programs, titled "International Visegrad Fund – Opportunities for scholarships, youth exchanges, and grants for projects."

The Visegrad Fund supports students and researchers participating in master's, postgraduate, and postdoctoral programs in all fields of study and any language for up to two semesters in more than 190 accredited higher education institutions in Central and Eastern Europe.

Numerous scholarship programs are available for students, educators, and researchers in the V4 countries throughout the calendar year.

The eligibility criteria for the Visegrad Scholarship Program for master's students require the applicant to be a citizen of a V4 country. Still, the application must be directed to a host institution in a country other than their citizenship.

The program offers the advantage of supporting students previously receiving Erasmus+ scholarships. Priority is given to applicants who have not been previously funded and those with study/research topics relevant to the V4 region.

With continuous applications, the latest Visegrad Fellowship Program offers attractive opportunities for PhD students or holders of doctoral degrees. The scholarships range from 2 to 10 weeks, during which the grantee must conduct specific research projects (or participate in them), deliver lecture(s) or seminars at a higher education institution, and conduct research in a public archive or library. Applicants can submit proposals in English on any topic.

Information on scholarships for students, educators, and researchers, application requirements, and reports on previous applications are available on the following online platforms and downloadable presentations.

Professional application assistance is available during the first half of each application period.

Visit the Visegrad Fund website, subscribe to their newsletter, inquire about opportunities, and, last but not least, apply!
